Cuando me enteré que venían los Deftones al Festival Vive Latino de la edición de este año, no me contuve para realizar esta ilustración de una de sus canciones más significativas para mí, "The Knife Party" ... A la larga no pude ir al festival por diferentes circunstancias, solo espero que vengan ahora en solitario.

When i realized that the Deftones would come to the Festival "Vive Latino" of this year, I couldn't hold make this illustration about one of the most significant song for me, "The Knife Party" ... For diferent circunstances I could'nt go to the festival, I hope they come again alone.

My Head in your Hand (Pedro Friedeberg's inspiration)

Cuando fuí a la exposición de Pedro Friedeberg (presentada en Bellas Artes hasta el mes de Enero), sólo sabía que había realizado "La Silla de la Mano" en el paseo de Reforma. No sabía que me enfrentaba a un ex arquitecto que decidió dejar a lado la escultura monumental para realizar trabajos mas personales y surrealistas. Pero no podré sacarme de mi cabeza la silla de mano ... la verdad que no ...

When I went to the exhibition of Pedro Friedeberg (shown in Bellas Artes until the month of January), i only knew that he had made "The Hand Chair" in the Reforma's walk. I didn't know that I had to face an ex - arquitect that decided to leave the monumental sculpture in order to make more personal and surrealist works. But I won't take the hand chair out of my head ... I just can't ...

Gecko Reckording Studio es el proyecto de estudio de grabación de varios amigos que conozco desde la prepa (Luis Arturo "Chonny", Don Rockdrigo Lecona "Choko", y Manuel Yescas "Selva" principalmente). Han ido armando el estudio poco a poco desde hace mas de tres años, y seguro que seguirán creciendo mas y mas. Esta es una ilustración para su Myspace y espero hacer mas proximamente.

Gecko Reckording Studio is a project of some friends that I know since Highschool (Luis Arturo "Chonny", Don Rockdrigo Lecona "Choko", y Manuel Yescas "Selva" mainly). They have been making the studio little by little since more than 3 years, and is pretty sure they will continue growing more and more.
